The Educational Technology masters program at San Diego State gave me
many opportunities to develop my skills as an instructional designer. The
diversity of the coursework provided me with ample opportunities to explore
the uses of training and technology within K-12 education and the private
industry.
The following list represents some of the projects created as part of
the masters program.
- Personal Knowledge Management System -
As a part of the final class for the Educational Technology MA, I had
to plan and create a personal knowledge management system. I developed
two knowledge-bases, one for educational technology resources and one
for world history.
- Final Porfolio - This
site represents my current portfolio that represents my accomplishments
in the Educational Technology program, ten years of teaching, and my
work as an instrutional and web designer.
- VIIDAI Collaborative -
This web site and accompanying content management system was developed
for VIIDAI, a non-profit organization wanting to market its good deeds
to potential donors and create an online community for participants in
the program. (Fall 2005)
- BlackBoard
vs. PostNuke - A comparison between a commercial and an open
source learning management system. (Fall 2003)
- EduArt -
A mobile technology proposal. (Summer 2002)
- Scramble
for Africa Board Game - My group developed a game that simulated
the European scramble for Africa towards the end of the 19th century.
I will be actually creating this game for my Humanities and world
history classes in Fall 2002. (Fall 2001)
- Simmigration -
An online branching story simulation that has players take on the role
of a poor Italian immigrant at the turn of the 20th century. This is
only a design document, not the actual game. (Fall 2001)
- Using
Existing WebQuests Job Aid (Spring 2000)
